I want to thank my mom and dad because I'm so incredibly lucky to have these two wonderful people in my life. In high school, I had great grades, I loved the sciences, and my teachers pushed me to pursue these careers. My parents always stressed the fact that they would support me in every and any decision I made career wise, as long as it made me happy, and I want to be a chef. They didn't tell me I was wrong, or crazy, to start a career in trades, as many of my teachers did. Immediately, they were thrilled, I had found a passion. They would help me find recipes to try, drive all over the city to find the right ingredients, let me use their kitchen, and help me clean the ridiculous messes I would make. The amount of time they put in, and the patience they had with me, is so valuable and full of love, I can't explain in words how lucky I am to have them in my life. They taught me so much about strength, self happiness, and independence. They sacrificed so much for me, and worked so hard to keep my brother and I on track with our goals. I wouldn't be where I am without them. Mom and dad, thank you, thank you so much. I love you both more than anyone in the world.
