I want to thank my mom and dad because they’ve devoted their lives for my brother and I.

In the year of 1996, I was born in the Philippines of San Pablo City. I grew up always feeling comfortable, always having food on the table, a roof over my head, and clothes on my back. Life wasn’t easy back in our home country, but my parents never made me feel like we were struggling. They always filled my life with happiness and blessings to mask the real life troubles they went through. They’ve gone through job lost, sometimes not knowing where we will find food, family sickness, and lack of money. There may be more that I may not know of, but they both faught through all the life challenges and never gave up.

In the year of 2000, you made a decision to move our family into Canada. Leaving your home where you grew up in, into a whole new country where everything was a mystery and taking the risk not knowing what the future holds. You wanted a better life and future then what we had. You wanted us to not go through what you both went through. You provided us with a home, food, and education. You taught us to always cherish what we have and all the blessings we receive everyday.

Everyday, you work hard even with all the stress and problems in your life. You are both incredible, caring, hard working and self-less people who have always put your children first before yourselves. You try and do your best to keep us comfortable, pushing us to work hard, and supporting us in everything we do. You’ve seen me through my worst and greatest, and stood by my side through everything. You both are one of the strongest human beings I know today. I want to thank you for always taking care of my brother and I, devoting your lives for us, guiding us, and loving us unconditionally.

Thank you mom and dad, I love you so much!
