I want to thank my mom because despite everything you have been through in your life you still managed to become an amazing role model for me. You taught me everything that I know and gave me more love and support than one person will ever need.

You had a very rocky start in life, your father was a rapist and your mother abandoned you when you were twelve years old. You grew up as a troubled youth in the foster care system and once you turned eighteen, the same age as I am now, you were left to your own devices and once again abandoned to the streets. You turned to drugs and alcohol because it was the only thing that helped you get through the pain and suffering. You had abusive boyfriends and will forever have a cracked disk in your spin because of some terrible man who kicked you with steel toed boots. A year before you got pregnant with me someone slipped something in your drink and you died for a couple minutes, to think that you could have lost your battle and never brought me into this world is heart breaking. Addiction is something many people struggle with for years but the minute you found out you were pregnant with me your love was already strong enough to help you quit.

My father was a drunk and refused to take responsibility for his accident, but you were strong enough to do it on your own. You were unable to finish the degree that you wanted because you needed to buy me diapers and pay for daycare. You were forced to settle for a career you were less passionate about. Everyday I wish that you have been able to become a psychiatrist or a social worker so that you would love what you do.

For years we struggled financially and we continue to do so, but you have taught me that there is more to life than having money and that there are many people out there that have it worse than us. You are the kindest most compassionate person i have ever met. You would give the shirt off your back to me and to anyone else that needed it, and you have on multiple occasions. People have used you when they needed your generosity and thrown you out like trash when they were done, yet you remain the strongest women I have ever met. You are my hero! You may not be a super hero but you are a superhuman.

Your life has not been easy by any means but you have succeeded in showing me how to love myself and others. You know that your job as a parent is never done because I will always need you, but you raised an adult and not a child. You taught be how to cook, you held my hair back when I was throwing up and you held me when I cried. You taught me that I can do anything I set my mind to. You are my everything, my Lorelai to my Rory! There is no way I could ever repay you for what you have done. You had to grow up really fast and you never got to enjoy your childhood, I just hope you can enjoy the remainder of your life with me. You are my rock and I hope that one day you will find your Luke Danes but even he won't deserve you because you are the perfect woman. I love you like no other. I will love you forever, I will like you for always, as long as i'm living my mommy you'll be.

You might have a mom, she might be the bomb, but ain't nobody got a mom like mine. Her loves till the end, she's my best friend, ain't nobody got a mom like mine.
