I want to thank my mom because she is the strongest woman I have ever met. My dad left my mother, sister and I in 2012. Living with no money it was extremely difficult. We would eat soup and toast almost everyday. One day my mom finally told me that she had cancer. Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This was absolutely devastating, and to make matters worse she contracted Clostridium Difficile from her visits to the hospital receiving her chemotherapy. After months of chemotherapy and 7 different times contracting Clostridium Difficile, my mom finally started to feel better and eventually had her last chemotherapy session. The reason why I said my mom is the strongest person I know is because throughout all her pain and suffering, she did not allow us to see the part of her which was scared for her life and in agonizing pain. She kept that horrific side of her illness from us to protect us. It wasn't until a year later that she eventually told me how severe it was and how thankful she is to still be alive. She believes that she has a second chance at life and does not want it to go to waste. This money would help me thank my mom for all she has done and still does for my sister and I. She deserves to live the best life she possibly could because she is the best mom in the world. This money would help her pay for her house and living expenses, because after all this time, my dad has still yet to help my mom in even the simplest way (even after they spent 27 years together). I want to thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you see how truly deserving my mom is for this. I understand money does not make all your problems go away, but I believe that it will help my mom be more comfortable and finally live in peace from all the trauma she has been through over the past 6 years. Even though she has little money, she still does everything she can to support me throughout university and in my daily life. This obviously hinders what she is able to afford and do. I don't remember the last time she was able to go out and have fun without worrying about money and how that inhibits her from doing what she loves. To close, I wanted to share exciting news that it is 5 years this week that my mom is cancer free. there is very little chance that she will ever get cancer again and I am so happy and proud of her. She is the strongest and most deserving person I know.

Thank you again and have a wonderful day.
