I want to thank my mom, the superhero, for taking on the roles of a mother, a big sister and a best friend. Even picturing walking a mile in her shoes is hard, considering she was busy finishing her college studies while working overtime at her job, she still found time to make my lunches, tie my shoes, and walk me to school every single day. I guess you could even say that she filled my dad’s shoes too, with teaching me how to take the training wheels off my bike, and hitting my first baseball. Growing up I didn’t see how much she had sacrificed for me but I am now so appreciative of her sacrifices, unconditional love and strength. I am so lucky to have had such an empowering and loving woman as my mother throughout these 22 years. Thank you Mom.

I also want to thank my uncle Jeremy who is very special to my heart. He is there for me like a father. His advice, guidance and emotional support has given me so much encouragement in pursuing my dreams for my future at University of Guelph. Picking up extra shifts at work to pay for tutoring this past year to help me get into Guelph, he made sure I would have the extra help I needed which meant so much to me. I am so lucky to have him as my Uncle-Dad, Thank you Jeremy.
