Sir Winston Churchill High School

I want to thank my mother and father because they have been there for me for every step of my life, always having my best interests at heart. First days of school, musical recitals, exams, performances, fights, tears, laughter; they were there through thick and thin never failing to provide constant love and support. I will never be able to express my complete and immense gratitude for my parents but hopefully this letter is a good start. The way in which they sacrificed their stable jobs in Singapore and moved away from the life they've known to immigrate to a new country in hopes of more opportunities and a better education and thus future for myself and my sister. The way that they've raised me, instilling the morals, values, and ideals that have allowed me to develop my character with a positive growth mindset. They way that they continue to work hard each and everyday so that I am blessed to live the life that I live. I am so overly grateful and thankful for these two wonderful, beautiful human beings in which I am lucky to call my parents. Thank you so much for raising me to be who I am to this day. I am motivated to continue working hard, seizing opportunities by the day, putting my best effort and ability forward into my education, and ultimately to continue making my parents proud. I recognize that I am fortunate enough to attend a post-secondary institution to further my studies and knowledge and this opportunity will definitely not be taken for granted. Thank you mom and dad for everything that you have done for me, and I promise to continue demonstrating my appreciation for your sacrifices. I will take care of you just as how you took care of me. From the deepest crevices of my heart, thank you mom and dad for being who you are.
